Can You Monetize a Music Podcast? Not Really

A lot of people assume DJs make money just by mixing other people’s music, but the truth is we can’t. Podcasts like Dance Club Podcast don’t earn revenue from streaming or ads because the music we play belongs to the original artists. We’re not allowed to monetize what we don’t own, and we respect that.

So why do I still do it?

Because I love music. Because DJing is how I breathe. It’s how I tell stories, connect with people, and stay alive creatively. Every mix is built out of deep respect for the artists and producers who move me.
